Avvo is a website dedicated to helping individuals find the right attorney for their particular need. Visitors to the website can search for attorneys by name, geographic location, or practice area.  Each attorney listed on Avvo has their own listing.  Some listings contain much more detailed information than others.  Avvo rates each attorney according to the area of law that they practice and using a scale that weighs the attorneys experience, industry recognition and professional conduct.

The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers

The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers consists of more than 1600 leading family law practitioners nationwide. Their website allows visitors to search for Academy Fellows by location and also offers a link to the Academy’s online library that features the Academy’s journal and newsletter as well as selected publications and articles organized by topic.

To look up a domestic relations case filed in Charleston County select “online case search” under the navigation menu on the left hand side of the page. Follow the prompts, click on “Civil,” and type in the Parties’ names as Plaintiff or Defendant. Also, designate that the case is in the Domestic Relations Court.
